PS 261 Arts Day 2014 - The Arts Committee asked all the K-5 students to show how they get to school on a large map of New York. I conceived the all-school project and made the map.
Students used drawings, yarn, and tacks to show their path and method of transportation.
PS 261 Arts Day 2015 - The PS 261 lobby has a wall mural depicting the academic subjects deemed important in 1957.
The Arts Committee asked students to write down the academic subjects they’d add to the mural on post-it notes. We used the notes to temporarily recreate the mural. I conceived the all-school project and created the mural.
PS 261 Arts Day 2016 - The Arts Committee asked students to create their own planet. We hung the planets from helium balloons to make our own galaxy. I conceived the all-school project and blew up so, so many balloons.
